A new year is officially upon us & this is my 1st post in 2018 (applause to that)! For many a new year means a fresh start and for me it’s all about picking up from where I had left from.
- “Stay positive and happy. Work hard and don’t give up hope. Be open to criticism and keep learning. Surround yourself with happy, warm and genuine people” – Tena Desae
The quote above pretty much grounds us all , gives us a heads up and ‘GO!’ and is just a refreshing reminder of how much you can make out of this year. Recently I stumbled upon an amazing creative photographer by the name of Mutumbi who has shot the likes of Mafashio, Insaka De Luxe, Banji Chona and many others. I was intrigued by his work and decided to work with him on this Blog post (happy dance)
For me a fresh start is the realization that I cannot do things all by myself, I need to work and rely on certain people. Creativity & content creation is better when two or more people come together to work as one.
My Outfit was inspired by a vintage old school but modern vibe with a touch of eloquence. This look can easily go from ‘Hey lets hang out’ to ‘Hey I’m about to attend a formal event’. Remember putting together a vintage look can be one of the most rewarding things in fashion hence personalize vintage essentials like denim, vintage shirts, leather jackets, sweaters, checked or plain pants and classic footwear and most importantly don’t forget to make this style your own.
What I loved about working with Mutumbi was his vibrant energy and easy going nature, talk about simplicity in its creative truest form!
- “Creativity is the process of having original ideas that have value. It is a process; it’s not random” Ken Robinson
To sum it all up Ken Robinson reminds us of an important process that binds us all as creatives. Here’s to more collaborations with fellow Bloggers, content creators & Photographers like Mutumbi!!!!
