Inside Muso Meyers ‘Twalibelela’ Music Video Launch

Hello Guys,

It is said that ’Music is the one language we ALL speak’ and in-line with that MusoMeyers recently made her music video debut of ‘Twalibelela’ featuring Zambia’s hottest rapper Slapdee and Koby produced by Roc beats. The launch was held on the 8th of November at Fox dale’s sky-bar.

Before we get into it, how about a short history? Muso Meyers is a multi-talented singer/song writer. Born and bred in Lusaka, Zambia. She started out as a backup vocalist for her mentor Maureen Lupo Lilanda (described as the mother of Zambia music) and later went to do her own burlesque acts in a two man band with the legendary late Tony Maonde. Muso has performed locally and internationally in South Africa, Tanzania, Switzerland, Denmark etc and shared stage with musical arts like Oliver Mtukuzi and Tshala Mwana. Her music is a refreshing blend of Afro RnB, Pop and Soul.

Back to her music video launch, the event kicked off at 18h as the guests arrived and mingled. Popular musical arts in attendance included the gorgeous Iris Kaingu, Roberto Zambia, Bobby east daywalker, Roxyjonesk, Slapdee, Koby, Dj Hussein, The XYZ crew, bloggers like myself, Nanashe of Maricko Nations, Byenda her stylist, Frank Sinya, Diamond Tv personality Chimweka Manic Chileshe who covered red carpet interviews. The event’s MC was the popular Jekafela. Perfect fit for a host right?

Jekafela & Muso Meyers

Muso Meyers described ‘Twalibelela’ as a song that describes the epitome of where she is in her life and a song that speaks to women and men as well. It is a very women empowering song and will speak to both men and women. ‘Twalibelela is filled with vibrant energy and boldness. Slapdee and Koby’s verses definitely enhanced the song and brought out its groovy urban energy. If you ask me this is a jam that will go down in Zambian music history.

The mood was filled with ecstatic engagements accompanied by drinks and tasty food. We definitely look forward to more from Muso.
